What is cabinet refinishing?

Cabinet refinishing is using your existing cabinets and changing the color or finish. You keep your old doors and drawer fronts. If you want to change to a color such as white this works best on maple and cherry cabinets. If you have oak cabinets you will not get that smooth satin finish you want because  the heavy oak wood grain will bleed through the finish.
